Taher, Inc. is a contract food service management company providing K-12 school lunch management, campus dining, senior dining, business dining and catering, summer camp dining, and vending and office coffee services to clients in 19 states. We are looking for a Chef Manager for the Frontier Restaurant and Pub in Batavia!

Job Description: 

  • Create and Develop Weekly and Monthly Menu Specials for the Frontier Restaurant, Upcoming Catering Events and the Chez Leon Facility in accordance with Food Service Director, Executive Chef, and the Catering Manager.
  • Prepare and execute food quality within time and temperature requirements involving all menu food items and specials.
  • Be able to pair menu specials with wine or drink specials.
  • Manage Restaurant Wait staff in conjunction with the facilities bar
  • Be able to order and inventory all food products monthly with Executive Chef.
  • Be able to order and prep all food related to menus.
  • Food Service Sanitation Certificate Required
  • Be able to follow HAACP requirements and regulations in accordance with facility Quality Assurance Program and assessment program.
  • Able to comply and meet all safety and sanitation requirements daily
  • Be able to understand cash handling and register procedures, and deposits.
  • Be able to understand payroll and manage labor schedules.
  • Be able to host and coordinate monthly special events with Food Service Director and Facility Client

Job Requirements

-Minimum of 2 years in a similar position

-Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

-Excellent communication skills
